Seaneen Kelly has been a practicing artist since 2000, gaining recognition for her evocative, abstract colour field paintings eagerly acquired by art collectors in Chicago, London, New York, Bangkok, Ireland, and Australia, including the public collections of the University of New South Wales and AMP.

Seaneen was represented by Harris Courtin Gallery from 2000 to 2011, where she exhibited three highly successful solo shows. She has also shown her work in numerous group exhibitions, including "Mark Making" at Tin Sheds Gallery and the 20th Annual Packsaddle Exhibition at the New England Regional Art Museum, where her work was shortlisted.

Seaneen's paintings are built up with many layers. Her versatility in painting and textile design enables her to achieve subtle variations of colour, form, sheen, and texture, which vary with different viewpoints and light. Seaneen's latest body of work, "Ruled by Venus," in 2022, encapsulates this technique to translate meditation and spiritualism into large colourscape paintings and works on paper.

Apart from her work as an artist, Seaneen is also a textile, print, and surface designer. She studied at East Sydney Tech, Sydney Gallery School, UNSW, and the National Art School. Seaneen was also a teacher for over seven years at the Fashion Design Studio and a sessional lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney.

Seaneen has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Australian fashion, interior, and film industries, including Camilla, Jets Swimwear, Karla Spetic, Bazmark, Catherine Martin, Mokum, and the electronic music duo Empire of the Sun.

Presently, Seaneen is painting in her studio in Sydney while holding the position of Senior Textile Designer at the Australian fashion label Zimmermann.
